Terms for OtterTally.
These terms cover the website, macOS app, accounts, provider connections, and purchases.
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to your use of the OtterTally website and macOS app, your OtterTally account, provider connections, and related services. By using an account or app, you agree to these terms.
Accounts and security
Keep your account information accurate and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and for using provider credentials only when you are authorized to do so. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Plans and prices
Prices are in USD. Monthly costs $2.99 per month and Yearly costs $9.99 per year; both are subscriptions. Lifetime is a single purchase, regularly priced at $19.99. The $12.99 introductory Lifetime offer applies to the first 100 customers. The checkout page shows the offer and final amount before you confirm your purchase. Taxes or currency conversion may apply based on your location and payment provider.
Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation
Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Any trial, its duration, and the date billing begins are shown at checkout; trial availability and duration may change. Manage or cancel a subscription through the account or payment-provider instructions shown with your purchase. Cancellation stops future renewals; access generally continues through the current paid period unless the checkout terms or applicable law provide otherwise.
Lifetime purchase
A Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment for Premium access for the lifetime of the OtterTally service. It does not renew. It is tied to your OtterTally account and is subject to these terms, applicable consumer rights, and the continued availability of the service.
Use of the app and revenue information
OtterTally provides reporting and business context from supported providers. Figures can be delayed, incomplete, estimated, or defined differently by each provider; currencies may be shown separately, and Stripe sales figures may be before fees. Verify figures against the provider’s records before using them for accounting, tax, or financial decisions. OtterTally is not accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice. Website sample values are examples and are not connected to your accounts.
Provider services
Stripe, RevenueCat, Google, and payment providers operate independently and apply their own terms, availability, and privacy practices. You are responsible for maintaining the provider account and permissions needed to use an integration. OtterTally is not responsible for third-party service changes, outages, or decisions.
Acceptable use
Use OtterTally lawfully and only with accounts and data you are authorized to access. Do not disrupt, reverse engineer, probe, damage, or attempt unauthorized access to OtterTally or its services. Do not use the app to violate another person’s rights or to distribute harmful or unlawful material.
Ownership and license
OtterTally and its licensors retain rights to the app, brand, website, design, and original content. While you comply with these terms, OtterTally grants you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and website for their intended purposes. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them except where applicable law permits.
Support reports and feedback
You may send bug reports from the app, by email to bugs@ottertally.app, or through the OtterTally Discord server. Do not include credentials, payment details, or other people’s private information in a report. You give OtterTally permission to use feedback you send to improve the service, without requiring us to use it.
Changes and availability
We may update features, plans, prices for future purchases, or these terms. Changes to subscription pricing will be communicated as required by applicable law and the payment provider. We may suspend or discontinue a feature or service when reasonably needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or business reasons. We will post material term changes on this page.
Termination
You may stop using the app and request account deletion through the app’s account controls. We may suspend or end access if you materially violate these terms, create a security risk, or if we must comply with law. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through a third-party checkout; follow that provider’s cancellation instructions.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and app are provided without guarantees that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or limits liability where the law does not permit that exclusion or limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the OtterTally operator is established, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
